We are a boutique winery located on a farm in the Nisqually Valley, near Olympia, Washington. The farm is the head waters for the Medicine Creek and the creek eventually joins with the McCallister Creek and then into Puget Sound. The Nisqually Valley is an area steeped in deep historical significance and is thought to be the original homestead of James McCallister, who settled the Nisqually Valley in the mid 1800's. The building itself was constructed almost a quarter century ago, originally for direct sales of farm produce. Since that time, the barn has undergone many different uses with a SLOW transformation to its present condition. This structure represents the lifelong efforts of the winemaker, his family and a handful of his dedicated friends. Together they have blended their talents and creativity resulting in a unique and warm environment.
Our Cherry Honeywine is like a slice of cherry pie served with a smile. Intense and spicy, this dessert wine will bring a smile to your lips. Cherry Honeywine is Kosher without sulfites or preservatives added! Since we use no sulfites in producing our exquisite wine, we do not agitate our wine to remove co2 produced in fermentation and chilling, giving the wine a slight spritz. Fantastic as a dessert, paired, or served over ice.
Vintage Ports are among the longest-lived wines produced anywhere. With a limited 3000 case production, this special "Vintage Charactek" is a blend of the finest wines from the producer in Portugal. Martinez was founded in 1790 by Spaniard Sebastian Gonzalez Martines who sold Port, Sherry, and Cigars in London. By 1849 The Martinez company was the largest shipper of Port to the UK. Port is generally made from these top five black varieties, although over 80 varieties are allowed: Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franc, Tinta Cao, and Tinta Barroca.
