We love a challenge and 2011 was one. Cooler weather meant it took about three weeks longer to ripen. We harvested from two different blocks of a single vineyard and fermented in stainless steel barrels. We fermented half in stainless steel for brightness; the other half in oak to smooth out the green notes. Then we blended them back together for a complexity that reflects the best of both worlds. Proving once again that good things come to those who wait an extra three weeks.
Georgetown Vineyards sits high atop a scenic ridge overlooking the city of Cambridge, Ohio. The winery is surrounded by 5 acres of vineyards. Our winery is family owned and operated and specializes in a varied selection of award-winning wines, from dry California styles to sweet Ohio varietals.
White Zinfandel continues to be one of the more popular wines especially during the summer months. Our White Zinfandel is made in a style that lends itself to being enjoyed with or without a meal. The wine’s bouquet is full of fruit characters, berries, cherry and watermelon though not overly intense. The flavors are delicate and full of the Zinfandel fruit, all balanced with a slight bit of sweetness to make this off dry wine clean, smooth and brisk in the finish. Enjoy it now for any reason, sipping, picnicking, or with your favorite meals. It pairs great with spicy food!

2015 began with warm weather conditions in the winter that continued throughout spring and summer. Yet, light scattered showers in late August and a return to normalcy in September gave a break to what was an intense growing season. We had pristinely clean fruit, bountiful yields, moderate to high alcohols, lower acids and no rain - a twin to 2014 in many ways. The result was concentrated, balanced fruit throughout the state.
Feeling sassy? Sweet Bliss White is a fun wine with layers of flavors and a streak of bright character. So many sweet white wines are cloying, flabby, perfume-y or just plain boring... Not Sweet Bliss White. The label artwork of Sweet Bliss White depicts the essence and flavors of the wine superbly. A crisp green apple dipped in luscious caramel irresistibly inspires you to delight in this lively and refreshing white wine. The aromas of citrus fruit and honeysuckle leap out of the glass, while flavors of green apple and honey are artfully balanced by vibrant acidity for a bracingly clean finish. Sweet Bliss White is exquisitely versatile. It is outrageous with blackened catfish, spicy chicken wings or Thai cuisine. For the ultimate indulgence, pair Sweet Bliss White with cheesecake, crème brulee and ice cream. We're certain that you'd also delight in Sweet Bliss White on its own as a heavenly aperitif.
The rich and bold, New World-style Moniker Chardonnay was made primarily from grapes grown at La Ribera, our family’s home vineyard along the banks of the Russian River. After gently pressing a combination of whole-cluster and de-stemmed grapes, we fermented and aged the wine four months sur lie in American oak barrels. This added a sturdy, complex framework for our fruit’s signature pear, apple and crisp mineral flavors. We then blended in a lush, barrel-fermented Viognier sourced from nearby Hopland and another subtly spicy lot of Chardonnay aged in French oak for a wine that is equal parts nuanced and approachable.
