There's nothing like a White Christmas, but here on the Central Coast we rarely get snow. So, we drink win instead! This 3 pack has the perfect wine spectrum ranging from a crisp, stainless-steal Sauvignon Blanc to a floral and fruity Viognier to the light, smooth and creamy Chardonnay.
Egret wines honor the Great Egret that is now a common sight throughout Carneros and Sonoma County after being hunted to near extinction at the beginning of the 20th century. Egret wines are also the second label for Bonneau Winery. This winery is operated by the third generation of Bonneaus with family history dating back to the early 1920s in the Sonoma, and later the Los Carneros appellation. The Bonneaus orginally came to America from the vineyard lands of Bordeaux, France and began farming a 70 acre parcel just south of the town of Sonoma. After growing and providing Chardonnay grapes to several well known wineries in both Sonoma and Napa, the family launched its own label in 2002. Other grape varieties are sourced from top vineyards in Sonoma, Napa, Amador, and Monterey Counties.
We love a challenge and 2011 was one. Cooler weather meant it took about three weeks longer to ripen. We harvested from two different blocks of a single vineyard and fermented in stainless steel barrels. We fermented half in stainless steel for brightness; the other half in oak to smooth out the green notes. Then we blended them back together for a complexity that reflects the best of both worlds. Proving once again that good things come to those who wait an extra three weeks.
Grenache Blanc is native to Spain and not grown much around Napa. But why constrain ourselves? We trucked this fruit up from Santa Ynez in Southern California, where the varietal is more widely grown. The vigorously growing varietal was well-pruned to concentrate the flavors. We picked it on October 21-late for a white wine-to get it quite ripe, but not a day later.
HoneyRun mead is not your usual heavy, sweet mead but instead is dry and light making it unique and refreshing. Even though you can smell the delicious honey, it has no residual sugar but a supple mellow taste! We use no sulfites or preservatives in making our Kosher mead. With a smooth finish HoneyRun mead is great served ice cold or paired!

2015 began with warm weather conditions in the winter that continued throughout spring and summer. Yet, light scattered showers in late August and a return to normalcy in September gave a break to what was an intense growing season. We had pristinely clean fruit, bountiful yields, moderate to high alcohols, lower acids and no rain - a twin to 2014 in many ways. The result was concentrated, balanced fruit throughout the state.
